Blog1: professional Profile research

Introduction

The purpose of the professional profile is to enable the reader to know the candidate’s situation in a considerable short time. Applicants can give potential interviewers a good impression through a well-made archive and resume, get more opportunities for face-to-face interview, and ultimately increase the chance employment. In general, a resume should contain basic information about the job seeker. More important, as professional profile should list certain information including: education background, internship experience, special skills, and work experience.

Analysis

To make the resume stand out from others, job seeker should put efforts on two aspects. On the one hand, it is self-improvement, which is the most important for improving resume quality. On the other hand, resume should focus on the advantages. We can illustrate from following two examples:

Picture 1 Donna Neiman’s resume

Apparently, Neiman is a highly experienced practitioner. So, he only introduced his qualifications in a small layout in front of his resume. Correspondingly, more space was used to describe his professional experience. At the same time, he also highlights his professional achievements, which is obviously the focus of his profile.

Picture 2: Jane Smith’s resume

Smith’s profile content is more diversified. He introduced his professional experience, educational background and special skills. The educational background and special skills to some extent make up for his disadvantage in work experience. Therefore, it can be considered that his resume is more suitable for students who have just graduated.

In addition, fashion practitioners must also highlight the characteristics of the industry. The first is visualization ability. Fashion is a highly visualized industry that requires practitioners to have better aesthetic and design skills. Therefore, professional profile should reflect the job seeker’s capability in design and visualization. The second is to pay attention to the details.

Picture 3: Andrew Evans’ resume

From Evans’ resume, we point out some issues. For example, overload information, messy layouts, and inconsistent alignments, and these indicate that this is a poor resume.
